negative emotions were the principal cause of sickness and disease; depleting our vitality and reducing our natural defences. He found that particular flowers have affinities with different negative emotional states and he discovered that when correctly prepared they could be used to
re-establish harmony of mind and body to liberate an individual’s own healing process.

Flower Essences are simply made by placing the flowering parts in a bowl of water and leaving them in direct sunlight. The effectiveness and quality of the essence is enhanced using pure spring water. During the sun making method it is essential to have uninterrupted sunlight and unbroken blue sky for the entire process which may take several hours. The plants used must be free of environmental contaminants and are picked early in the morning, at the height of their bloom and vitality. Some essences are prepared by the boiling method, where the plant materials are infused in pure spring water over heat. This ensures the vibrancy and potency of the remedy. The ‘mother tincture’, which remains once the flowers are removed, is then further diluted and preserved with a mixture of organic alcohol and natural spring water.
